CUNY/John Jay College Natatorium Renovation Complete

The 8,400-sf Natatorium of John Jay College has re-opened after the 7-year-long renovation of the leaking pool and all its outdated systems and support areas. The complex is in Haaren Hall, in the City University of New York campus’ main building on Manhattan’s Upper West Side.

For close to 12 months, scaffolding entirely occupied the 25-ft-high pool area, so that the new patterned tile design, wave-shaped slatted teak ceiling, and 44-foot-long LED light pipes that cross the width of the space could be installed. It is essentially a new pool.

The Dormitory Authority of the State of New York [DASNY] was the project manager, on behalf of CUNY/John Jay College.
